Question

So about COVID-19 and the Delta Variant

Answer

We take the safety of our friends and family very seriously and have since the beginning of 2020. Nothing has changed for us and we want to continue to prioritize our loved ones’ health and safety. We ask that anyone who is not feeling well (even if it’s “just allergies”) or anyone who has been exposed to someone testing positive for COVID-19 please either get tested prior to attending the wedding OR unfortunately abstain from attendance. We hope that those closest to us will respect our wishes in this matter. The last thing we want is the happiest day of our lives to be devastating to anyone else’s. We will have masks available should you need/want one. PLEASE feel free to wear a mask if it makes you feel more comfortable and/or safe. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Your wedding is on a Sunday??

Answer

Yes! In an attempt to make travel easier on everyone over the holiday weekend we decided to get married on Sunday. For all our Catholic friends and family, our nuptial mass WILL count as a Sunday mass so please feel free to bring your children and families to the wedding mass so we can celebrate this beautiful sacrament together.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We plan to start promptly at 3pm. We would love to have you comfortably seated no later than 2:55 pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dressy Casual or Cocktail Attire is suggested but dress appropriately. September in East Texas can be hot. The ceremony will be held indoors but the reception is in an enclosed outdoor air conditioned pavilion. Be sure you will be comfortable in whatever you wear. Feel free to bring a change of clothes if you are concerned the heat may be an issue.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We hope you will understand our decision to celebrate our reception without children, and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style! We would of course, love to have your children present for our wedding mass.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The main recommendation is to book early! Our wedding weekend is also a holiday weekend (Labor Day) and the weekend of the very popular flea market Canton First Monday Trades Days. We do have a hotel block set up with a special group rate at a Residence Inn near the church/venue. You can find more information about this hotel on the Travel page of our website.

Question

Who did your wedding invitations?

Answer

We found an amazing artist on Etsy named Susana. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Susana. She was very receptive to our ideas and what we were looking for in our wedding invitations. We were shocked with how quickly she was able to complete the invitation design with such amazing quality. We are looking forward to commissioning additional work from her in the future and hope you will too! You can find her as listed below.
