Question

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! A couple of the hotels offer babysitters to make that a reality.

Question

IS THERE A SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE HOTEL TO THE CEREMONY?

Answer

There will be two separate shuttles from the Marriott Vacation Rentals and the Ko Olina Beach Villas. The shuttle will be there promptly at 3:15pm so please be ready. If there are too many people for the shuttle, it will make a second lap so please be patient. One shuttle will come back after the reception to take those who prefer not to walk to the after party. One shuttle will again be provided at 12am to take people back to the Marriott Vacation Rentals and Ko Olina Beach Villas.

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Aloha formal, please. Men should wear a collared button-down shirt and casual trousers/slacks or khakis (pants preferred) and women should wear a nice dress. Our venue is mostly grass so no need for fancy high heels. It may be pretty warm during the ceremony so if you are sensitive to the sun bring a hat or sunscreen. Other than the wedding ceremony there will be plenty of shade (or rain protection) options. We want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Question

What is the situation for Ubers and Taxis, should guests plan on renting a car? What about a shuttle?

Answer

While there may be Ubers and Taxis, their availability might be limited and there could be very long wait times. If you are staying in the Ko Olina area, most things are walkable but if you would like to explore outside of that area we do suggest renting a car. Refer to above for shuttle information for the wedding.

Question

What about weather rain or shine?

Answer

We have chosen to have our wedding at a time of low rain but that does not mean it is impossible. We will have a tent and a second covered area at the wedding as a back up. On the other side we do expect it to be pretty sunny and we will be having the ceremony outside with only some shade from the trees. We would suggest wearing some sunscreen or bringing a hat if you are sensitive to the sun. The ceremony will only be around 20-30 min and then shade options will be available after.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Lanikuhonua offers 200 parking spots that are shared between all three venues and it will be a first come first serve basis. If you are driving we suggest arriving early. If you are staying in Ko Olina we suggest taking the shuttle or walk.

Question

What should I do if I have COVID-19 symptoms or am feeling unwell on the day of the wedding or any of the other events?

Answer

If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or are feeling unwell on the day of the wedding, we kindly ask that you stay home and refrain from attending the wedding. If you have recently had COVID, please make sure you test negative before you show up. Your health and the health of our guests are our top priority. Please let us know as soon as possible if you will not be able to attend.
