John, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and Courtney, originally from Orange, California, met in the middle of our Nation in Wichita Falls, Texas. John was stationed nearby for the Army’s Field Artillery Officer Basic Course and Courtney was completing her Bachelors Degree when they first met. It didn’t take them long to fall in love, and after a Bachelors degree, Ranger tab, and few months of long distance dating Courtney followed John to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. John & Courtney got engaged on June 10th, 2018 on the beach right beside their home in Waialua, Hawaii. They will be living in Hawaii with their dog, Gunner, until the Army sees fit to send them elsewhere. While the future may hold surprises, one thing is for sure; wherever they go together, they go with love.
