It all began as the best things do, over tacos. After first connecting online, Jason and KT met at Tocaya Organica. They had no idea that this spot would soon become their go-to, nor that each would become the other’s favorite person. While it was KT’s radiant smile that first bowled Jason over, it was their conversation that he truly connected with. KT marveled at how easy and natural it was to be with Jason; his warmth and friendliness was a breath of fresh air. Thus began the easiest, most exciting, no brainer relationship of their lives. In their free time, they love going to plays and musicals, traveling and cooking dinner together. They also enjoy working out at Orange Theory where they lovingly compete against each other for daily points. And when not working out, they like to hang out with their two adorable dogs, Dude and Dolly Parton. It wasn’t long before Jason realized that KT was THE one and that he couldn’t stand to be one day without her. By Christmas 2019, Jason decided that it was time to make a life time happen. Of course, thinking about how to propose was part of it, and he knew that it wouldn’t be their relationship if he didn’t have a little fun with the proposal! One week before Christmas, Jason put a Tiffany's box in KT's stocking and had her open it. It had a piece of coal elegantly wrapped and tied with a bow in white ribbon. KT laughed it off! On Christmas day, after they had finished opening presents, Jason pulled out one last gift. It was the same box that KT had opened a week prior. She opened the box again, and still sitting there was the same piece of coal. Eager to keep the game going, Jason prompted her to look under the coal. Not amused, KT begrudgingly played along, and there, under the coal was the most beautiful ring KT had ever seen. Jason got down on one knee and proposed. KT didn't miss a beat, immediately replying, "You're a monster, and that's why I'll marry you.” While our day had to be reimagined, our love never has.
