We're Getting Married!

We met on Hinge in November 2023 and quickly discovered that we both love football (Hayden – Eagles, Ashley – Chiefs). Our first date was just a few days later at Syberg’s, followed by a trip to see Christmas lights. After that, a second date was an easy yes. A little more than a year and a half later—and after many conversations about getting married—Hayden proposed on September 28, 2025. He originally planned to take Ashley to a fancy steakhouse, but they ended up at Cottleville Wine Seller because Ashley doesn’t like steak. After sharing a pitcher of peach sangria and enjoying the same kind of conversations and laughs they’d had on so many dates before, Hayden took Ashley back to his sister’s house, saying he “needed to let her dog out.” Confused—especially since he was emptying his pockets—they walked around to the backyard where their song, “Life with You” by Kelsey Hart, was playing. A few family members and a friend were waiting there to take pictures and videos. Hayden said a lot (which Ashley doesn’t fully remember due to the overwhelming emotions… and the lingering effects of the peach sangria). He knelt and asked the big question: “Will you marry me?” With tears in her eyes, she said, “YES!!!” Afterward, all their friends and family—who had been secretly watching from inside—came out to celebrate. It was a beautiful, perfect, magical moment surrounded by loved ones.
