Who knew college running could create such an amazing love story?! Nick and Morgan met in 2014, their freshman year of college. They both got the opportunity to compete for Kent State University's Cross Country and Track teams with the hopes of running to the best of their abilities. After 6 months of being close friends and teammates, they began dating! During these 4 years of competition and school, they got to travel around Ohio and the East Coast, make countless friends and enjoy an abundance of time with family. All of these moments helping them progress their relationship as a couple!
It was a Wednesday in April. Nick wanted to go out to dinner with a few friends to a new Italian restaurant and dress up, "just for the fun of it." Morgan on the other hand, had zero desire to get dressed up on a Wednesday night and get out of bed after a day of practice and college classes. Somehow, Morgan's friend Olivia convinced her to get off her butt and get ready because it was going to be a "fun night." Little did Morgan know how much fun it would actually be! Dinner was delicious, which then prompted dessert. Upon walking to where "dessert" was; since we were dressed up, Nick decided he wanted to take pictures under a lit up overhang in Downtown Kent. In classic Nick fashion, he pretended to get down on one knee/tie his shoe like Jim from the Office did to Pam and Morgan suspected nothing. But to her surprise, that fake out turned into the real deal! A ring came out of his jacket pocket and happy tears flowed followed by "You're kidding me!" and of course, "Yes!"
Currently, Morgan and Nick are living and loving long distance! Since May of 2018, Morgan has lived and worked full time out in Seattle, while Nick has been in Grad School for Physical Therapy in Ohio! Though they are planning their Wisconsin based wedding long distance, they have had so much fun and are enjoying every step of the way! Thank you to all of the friends, family, colleagues and classmates who have supported them during all of these times! The party is coming and they can't wait to celebrate with each and everyone of you after this long engagement! UPDATE: As of January of 2022 Nick is officially a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has moved out to Seattle to live with Morgan full time! Still planning a wedding from a distance, but no longer living in distance from each other!
