Our Story

From Interviews to Vows

Our story begins in Spring 2019 in Newport Beach at Fashion Island Hotel. I had just taken a job opportunity to work in the hospitality industry for the first time. The interview process was a long three hours and I still had to come back a few days later to meet with one last manager (Josh). I thought, “this better be worth it”, and little did I know it would be more than that. I knew right away Josh was someone I wanted to get to know more, but it was also a little difficult considering he was my manager, but that didn’t stop me. Work became a place I would rush off to because I knew he would be there. Josh likes to think he was the one that made the first couple of moves, but we all know it was me ; ). After endless Google chats at work & texts about the “schedule”, he finally asked me out to celebrate his birthday with his best friend Steve and his wife Rachel. I thought to myself, “Wow, Andrea you are meeting the best friend and wife” ... this is a good sign. Little did both of us know that that “first” date would be the beginning of the rest of our lives! We spent the summer of 2019 cooking delicious new recipes (something we love to do often now), going to happy hours, and well, working a lot. But wherever he was, I was happy to be too. At the end of the summer, Josh moved to Dana Point, and I was in the position where I was looking to move to a new spot as well. We took the jump and I moved in with him. It was the most effortless transition and so worth it. Dana Point holds a huge spot in our hearts. We enjoyed walking the harbor in the mornings with coffee or going to brunch at our favorite spot Proud Mary’s. I can’t forget our furry expansions we added in 2020. Josh and I rescued two feral cats, Jax and Tux. I begged for weeks to bring them into our home, and Josh finally gave in. One cat quickly turned into two, and they have brought so much joy into our lives! On November 25th, 2021, Josh got down on one knee and proposed. My family was present, and it was the most perfect and special moment in our life. Going into 2022, we made the decision to move to Houston, Texas, and start a new adventure. We now have our Callie girl, a chocolate lab/pitbull mix and have been loving every moment here in Texas planting new roots down! Up next, getting married! Life has been so good to us, and we look forward to this next chapter in our life! We can’t wait to celebrate our love with you all in California, on September 15th, 2023! Cheers y’all! Xoxo, Josh & Andrea
