We Eloped

We traveled to St John USVI and eloped on Cinnamon Bay. We have plenty of pictures and stories to share!

The Groom: Joe

Joe was living in town as flight instructor with his best friend living the "Year of Vibe". Joe had no idea that one swipe would change his vibe. His first date story is much different from Christine's, as usual. Just ask him for the story! But they both agree that it was the worst first date ever. He continued to invite Christine on date after date, even though the she continuously broke bait buckets and offered bad restaurant suggestions. Joe got a sneak peak of a life with Christine would be like. All he knew is that conversation was easy and Christine always provided a laugh. He was always looking forward to the next adventure with Christine. So the dates continued and now there is a wedding!

The Bride: Christine

Christine had been living in Jacksonville for about 7 months after graduating college. When she swiped right to meet Joe. As for the first date, we will keep it short. Basically, Christine will tell you it was a horrible date and she was incredibly awkward. While everything was going wrong, she was still intrigued by Joe. At some point near the end of date Anthony Bourdian came up and she realized there needed be a 2nd date. Needless to say through, Christine knew there was something special in Joe and the rest is history.

The Proposal

Joe proposed to Christine at Sand Beach Lake in Rocky Mountain Park in July 2018. As they prepared for their first pack in pack out hike, Joe had a little secret. With the packs ready to go the couple starts their hike. They hike up to lake taking small breaks but made good time. Joe asks a random person to take a photo of us by the lake. Christine is tired and keeps asking Joe if this is close enough to the lake, he keeps saying no. Finally they get a "good enough spot" and Joe says let me tie my shoe. Christine obviously annoyed with this picture is very upset that Joe is taking more time to tie his shoe. Staring at him with frustration he gets down on one knee, pulls out the ring and asks "Will you marry me?". Christine take a few steps backwards, also known as, back pedaling like Ramsey, running away in shock. She then proceeds to stare a Joe and reach for the ring. Joe then tells Christine "You can use your words?" as she was in shock and forgot to say yes. After saying yes, The ring is all hers and the future began!
