Kathleen and Hunter met the same way most couples meet these days - through Hinge. Classic case of “guy and girl match, have very minimal conversation and never exchanged numbers”. That was 4 months before their first date. They REALLY met on Bumble in late February/early March of 2023. After talking about upcoming travel, Bloody Mary’s, and what they like to do for fun, they eventually exchanged numbers and made plans for 9 casual holes of putt-putt on a Wednesday night. On the fifth hole it was heatedly tied (Kathleen 8, Hunter 18) but the conversation was flowing seamlessly - they liked each other - and made plans to see each other again. Kathleen just needed to pencil Hunter in after a ski trip, a bachelorette, and a Saturday morning brunch, they had their second date at a Greek restaurant (all good things are Greek). Fast forward 18 months and Kathleen and Hunter had done it all: met the parents, met the Corgi (honestly the toughest test of all), friends’ weddings, concerts, festivals, eaten fast food and fine food, traveled the country, skied mountains, taken care of each other while sick and injured, moved in together - the next step was obvious - they discussed getting engaged in the Fall of 2024. Conversations with parents had been had, a ring had been procured, and flights had been booked. Hunter proposed to Kathleen on the island of Paros, Greece on a Monday at sunset, overlooking the water over a bottle of local wine and cheese. They are excited to celebrate with you all in August of 2025!
