YES! Riot Fest has a Chapel on the festival grounds every year with a limited number of ceremonies available with Pastor Jeff. We know it's highly non-traditional, but this festival is something we truly love and quickly became the front runner when thinking about venue options.
Yes. A festival ticket is required to access the festival grounds where the chapel is located. Single day tickets are available at www.riotfest.org Or you can rock out with us longer with a 2 day or 3 day ticket! We will be there all weekend!
No traditional reception for us. Just bands, and corndogs, and more bands! CHEERS!
Glad you asked!! The Saturday Line Up includes: Weezer, Jack White, Sex Pistols, All Time Low, The Beach Boys, Dropkick Murphys, The Front Bottoms, Knuckle Puck, James, The Bouncing Souls, The Damned, Citizen, Free Throw, Panchiko, Buzzcocks, Superchunk, GWAR, Militarie Gun, The Cribs, Helmet, Marky Ramone Plays The Ramones, Thrown, H2O, Wishy, Violet Vira, Speed of Light, Girl In A Coma, Agent Orange, Cliffdiver & Feral Tact
There is no onsite parking at the Festival. The easiest way to get to Douglass Park is by taking public transit! The CTA Pink Line’s California Ave stop is just blocks away from the festival entrance—it’s the most convenient route to the fest. Uber & Lyft are also available options!
Hotel options in the immediate vicinity of Douglass Park are very limited. We recommend staying somewhere closer to Downtown or on the Loop. Any hotel that is within walking distance of a CTA station to hop on the L! There are also many options on Vrbo and Airbnb!
Our first year at Riot Fest we flew into Midway, not realizing that our hotel was right by O'Hare lol. O'Hare area hotels are further from the festival, but you can still take the L easily. Either airport is perfectly fine if you are staying in the downtown/Loop area. CTA has stops in both airports.
Sadly no, unless medically necessary. But you can bring empty plastic refillable water bottles! There is a ton of awesome food vendors - including some vegetarian and vegan options!
We say YES! Kids & Music is always a good time! Ours will be there: Chris, 17 and Alaina, 11. Kids age 5 and under are FREE with an adult ticket. There is a family restroom & tent area with private spaces for breastfeeding and/or pumping. More details for families with small kiddos can be found at https://riotfest.org/chicago/faq
