Athletic Attire
Plan to meet at MTN Fun Basecamp at 8:30 or the Smoke Bluffs parking lot at 9am. If you'll be arriving later, we will be at the Burger and Fries climbing area so join anytime. Squamish is one of the top climbing destination in the world, known for its pristine granite cliffs. Last summer we climbed 22 pitches from the Squamish valley to the top of the chief. We won't be doing that here, but we will be sampling Squamish's favorite crag with routes that are great for beginners through advanced climbers. Scott's father Peter has long been an instructor for the Seattle mountaineers, teaching people the basics of climbing and will help to lead the event. Special thanks to Ashley Green the owner of Climb On Squamish , our friend who will be attending, who has offered to allow us the use an assortment of shoes, and harnesses so everyone can participate.

We will be at the beach at the NE corner of the lake. Parking can be very minimal so please carpool. Our typical day in Squamish involves a quick Alice lake dip after activities to cool off.

The Sea to Sky Gondola was built in 2014 as a way for everyone to gain quick access to the amazing views of the Squamish Valley. Pack a lunch and we'll find a great place for a picnic. The ride is typically $40/ adult, so please indicate on the RSVP if you plan to attend as we will coordinate a group rate for everyone to get a 20% off discount. If your feeling like a more strenuous challenge, there will also be the option to hike from the valley floor at 9am by-passing the Gondola ride and meeting the group at the landing.
6:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Pacific Northwest - Semi-Formal
The Joinery is our favorite place to eat anywhere and is a must strop whenever we come to or through Squamish. A central point for the outdoor community of Squamish, the Joinery has a great vibe and boasts many of our core values with local foods and an emphasis on sustainbility. The evening will begin with cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing. Bring your dancing shoes because we have a permit to dance (no really, we had to get a permit to dance).
