We're so excited to celebrate with you! Thanks to everyone for supporting us during this crazy time! We would have never thought we'd be getting married in the midst of a pandemic. Nonetheless, our wedding is scheduled to go on as planned at this time. Please review these notes so you know what to expect: Please be aware of how you are feeling in the days leading up to our wedding weekend. We encourage guests to wear a mask at our wedding if that makes you feel comfortable. Masks will be provided at The Pick Inn if you left yours at home. There will be an optional temperature check before you make your way to the ceremony site. In the event that you opt-in for a temperature check and your temperature is high, we suggest that you first return to your car to cool off. If you're still warm, we ask that you consider how you have been feeling lately - have you had any symptoms of illness? If not, we ask that you please wear a mask for the entirety of the event and that you socially distance yourself from others. If you feel sick, have a fever, or have been around someone who is sick - please stay home. The health and safety of our guests is very important to us, and we would love to celebrate with you at a later date once you are well. Scarlett and Brittany (MOH) we're headed home after a night of fun, however as they approached the apartment, they spontaneously decided they weren't quite ready to call it a night. Instead, they popped in to a friends house in "The Fort". To their surprise, Scarlett's stepsister, Mallory (bridesmaid) was also at the party and knew everyone there! Richie, noticing that his good friend Mallory was speaking to someone he hadn't seen before, asked Mallory to introduce him to her friend. He proceeded to make a good first impression on Scarlett and the next day, she was agreeing to go to a Phi Gam date party with him! The rest is history...

Richie & Scarlett fell in love with Asheville, NC after making a couple of road trips after college. For one of their weekend trips in August, Richie decided to make it the most unforgettable one. He told Scarlett he had made reservations for dinner at the Omni Grove Park Inn for the Saturday night they were in town, but that he wanted to get there a little early to walk around the grounds. After exploring a little bit, Richie was using the telescope to look at the beautiful Blue Ridge mountain range right behind the hotel. After Scarlett took her turn, she turned back around to find Richie down on one knee, and he asked her to marry him! (She said yes, of course!) Richie had one more surprise up his sleeve. When they turned back to the hotel, some of Scarlett's family was there to celebrate with them! August 25th, 2018 was such a special day!
