The Day I Met Nick

August 25th, 2007

I walked into Eastern Tech for my first day of high school. I had no idea what I was walking into or what to expect. I memorized my schedule to my best and headed towards my homeroom class. Everyone sat down and I waited listening to morning announcements. Afterwards, my teacher started giving the class their first lesson and asked for a volunteer. How was I supposed to know that the boy who raised his hand to volunteer on the first day would be the man I would fall in love with.

Goose Poop can actually be Quite Romantic

Perfect Location

The Goose Pond. History of our "____"ship was spent at a little pond that is in White Marsh. This poop infested location was the perfect spot for me to propose to Krista. I know it sounds funny and unromantic, but we use to visit this location quite often to hang out as friends. We also had our first date here. During our high school life, we use to go to this empty parking lot across the street to the movies with our friends. We just chilled for the most part and built our friendship. I never realized that this girl that I find so beautiful also glowed so brightly in the moonlight. This is a place where I saw her beauty glow which always made my heart pound. Jump forward to junior year of high school, my persistence and the power of jealousy landed me a date with the girl I was head over heels for. I planned on taking her to the movies for our date but sadly I looked up the wrong date for the movies so when we showed up, there's no movie. "Quick Nick, you got to think of something before you ruin your chance.... Well, let's just walk around the avenue, talk and spend time together." Worked perfectly, we ended up going back to our spot next to the goose pond. I would love to say I took the initiative but she beat me to it by landing a soft kiss on my lips right next to our tree. We joked, laughed, and we played tag around the trees (we really are like kids). The last event to make this location perfect, was when Krista came back into my life. Krista and I, just to meet up and catch up, went to the most romantic place in the world, Buffalo Wild Wings. It was no date, just a chance to catch up since we went our separate ways for college. We finished eating and walked around the avenue, and right in front of Chili's, I told Krista I was done with labels cause it scared her off every time we used one. Those words made her relax and we went back to that Tree without even realizing it; walking around then had our first Kiss that started this relationship all over again.
