A love for reading and fantasy worlds was all the connection we needed to ignite our relationship. Once that ball started rolling there was nothing that could stop it. After our first date we were smitten with each other, after the second we both knew we were meant for one another. We quickly found that we not only loved all things nerdy, we also loved each other fervently. After two years we cannot wait to start the next chapter of our lives together!

What started as a vacation to see some family in North Carolina turned into the best day of our lives thus far. We took a day to drive down to Mrytle Beach just the two of us. Went to Broadway on the Beach and let our inner children reign for the day. We rode virtual rollercoasters, fed the fish and birds, and then strolled along the beach searching for the prettiest shell to remember our day by. A Margarita and a strawberry Daiquiri by the beach with some appetizers was the best way to end this perfect day in Karen’s mind, but Michael had something up his sleeve…well, actually in his pocket. We walked the beach, back toward our car, as the sunset turned the sky purple. Michael got down on one knee. He told me how much he loved me. How he wanted nothing more than to make me happy every day. Then he asked me to be his wife. I said yes before he could even pull the ring from his pocket. We haven’t stopped smiling since.
