On the weekend of Megan's 28th birthday, she was under the impression that a proposal was not imminent. Josh had been incredibly busy with school and working on his fixer upper. Instead, her sister (Ashley) had planned a fun filled weekend in Rhode Island. When Megan woke up on Sunday morning, there was quite a surprise downstairs. There were balloons, a Happy Birthday banner, and an envelope with a blue wax seal that said Clue #1. Megan eagerly opened the clue and quickly realized it was from Josh and it was the first clue of many leading her onto a scavenger hunt. Not only did Josh have hand-written clues for each stop (and there were many), but he also had homemade DVDs that were showcases of their memories and glimpses of what went into planning this magical proposal. The first clue led Megan to where their first date was, the Hotel for Homeless Dogs! Megan was greeted by Josh's parents and a pup named "Blue" who had her next clue attached to his collar. From there, she was led to another first date stop - a Mexican restaurant, Bandido's. Megan's waiter handed her the next clue, which led her to Patriot Place at Gillette Stadium. This stop was important because Megan took Josh to his first concert here (Ed Sheeran). At Patriot Place, Megan and Ashley ran into two "strangers" - Josh's sisters Ariel and Alyssa! They had her next clue, which led her to Quincy Market in Boston. Once Megan made it to Quincy market, she happened to find her Brother-in-Law (Tyler) with a balloon and a new clue. This clue described Boston Harbor, once Megan made her way there she found her parents. Megan's mother (Kathy) had the biggest smile and proudly handed Megan her final clue. Megan was so eager to finally see Josh, so much was building to this moment! This clue led Megan to the Rose Garden in Boston, where she finally saw Josh - in his navy suit with a white rose in his pocket and a balloon anxiously waiting. Megan could barely contain her excitement! Once she made her way to Josh, he walked her down the "tunnel of love" and popped the question! Thankfully his sister, Amber, was there to capture the moment with lots of photos! It was such a magical day, and Megan never felt so loved.
