We're FINALLY getting married!

Sarah and Austin met while working at DC's Capital Fringe Festival in 2014. Sarah had just moved to DC after finishing an internship in Ithaca, New York, and got a summer job as a venue manager at Fringe. She met her SUPERVISOR Austin, the Production Manager, on the first day. Honestly, she was a bit intimidated. Over that summer, the two connected after work at the Fringe tent bar, bonding over shared beer tastes ("IPAs are the worst!") and dislikes of spicy food ("those half-smokes are HOT!"). But for the time being, it was nothing more than a friendship. Later that fall, when Sarah needed an unpaid lighting designer for a show she was directing in Baltimore, she messaged Austin for recommendations. She was SHOCKED when he offered to do it himself (yet she suspected nothing). During the course of that production, they realized their shared love of Cape Cod and grew to know each other better (plus, that lighting design was really good). They both accused the other of turning a suggested dinner into a date when Sarah returned the rented lights to Austin. And the rest... is history! 9 years later: after three graduate degrees, three years of long-distance, three shared apartments, hundreds of breweries, and one cat named Citra, Sarah and Austin are thrilled to finally be walking down the aisle. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
