It's kind of a funny story. We started dating in 2017, but we actually first met in 6th grade. We went to the same middle school and even graduated high school together! After high school graduation, Brandon spotted me outside of Rock Creek Portland Community College. We both laughed, said "Hello", but parted ways once again. Our interaction was short but very sweet! We both love to sing and would post cover-songs on Instagram. By the end of 2016, Brandon commented on one of my posts saying, "Sounds great". Apparently, that's all it took for us to reconnect again! Our first official date was on July 31st, 2017, at the Rogue Hall pub next to Portland State University. It was my orientation day and since Brandon was already taking classes, he said he'd be my personal tour guide. I thought it was hilarious that we would be attending the same school, again! Brandon chuckled and said, "or you're just stalking me." As we both graduated from PSU and we continued our adventure together! Planning for the future, setting goals, and then... Brandon proposed on July 31st, 2020.

I asked Allie the question at her Grandparents beach house. To be more specific, it was on the beach by a little campfire. We dug a pit, moved a perfectly sized log over, and laid out all of our picnic stuff. We sat around the fire for quite a bit. From time to time she would get up to look for driftwood and that eventually tuned into looking for seashells. The sun was just about to set when she went off for another seashell run. I asked for a moment and she paused. For some reason, I knew that it was the right time to ask. There is not really a way to explain it all besides saying that I am forever happy we have that moment together. I am a lucky guy.
