Matron of Honor
Kayla is one of Darian's cousins and also one of her best friends. She is an amazing teacher, wife, and the best listener when you need someone to talk to. Speaking of, Kayla has been listening to Darian talk about David since June of 2020.... back when he was known as "The Good David from Hinge". "Kayla, I couldn't imagine this day without you and I am so thankful for you in more ways than I could put into words. I love you!"- Darian
Best Man
Better known as Koessler(honestly only known as Koessler). Has stuck around through it all, and been the most dependable and genuine best friend anyone could ask for. From hanging out at each other’s parent’s homes, to living together, to taking in a third wheel *wink wink*. A seamless friendship from day one, minus the part where David hated the guy when they first met. A friendship built on sitting watching South Park reruns(mainly the Imaginationland Trilogy), late night drunken heart to hearts, and no questions asked. “Brian, can I call you Brian? There was never a doubt you would be my best man someday. I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done for me, and also for Darian. I know the days of hanging out in my parent’s basement are in the past, but there will always be a spot for you in our lives and our family, just as you’ve done for us. I just have one question though… Will we be friends forever?” -David
Maid of Honor
Jennifer is another one of Darian's cousins who has been by her side through every high and low throughout the years. She is an amazing athlete who is wise beyond her age and has one of the biggest hearts imaginable. Jennifer has probably heard more about the bride and groom's relationship than she cares to, but if there's someone who truly cares for this couple, it's her. "Jennifer, I don't know where I would be without you. You've have grown into an amazing person and I would not be who I am today without everything you've done for me. I love you!"- Darian
Groomsman
Aka Willy and rarely referred to as Audio Al. This guy been A1 since day 1(sorry Ant). Al made a good run at best man, but just didn’t quite make the cut. Al’s home basically became a second home for David. Literally, there’s still a box of stuff that will always and forever remain there, no matter how hard Al tries to get rid of it. He’ll try to tell you that he’s the PIG king, and that David’s never dunked on the 8 foot hoop, but there’s an old Snapchat out there that says otherwise. Fun fact, David used Al’s new puppy Hendrix as bait to get Darian to go on a first date with him. So really Al is sort of an unsung hero. There may never have been a David and Darian without Al, and that’s the most credit he’ll ever get for anything ever. “Willy, you’ve been an INCREDIBLY patient friend. If there’s such a thing as two best friends, then I have two best friends. You’ve put up with Diva Dave(Davea?) more than any other person I know. Thank you for being such a reliable friend and someone I can always count on. I just got one question for you Al, “What’s poppin’ meh?”” -The Sauce Also sub to our fantasy football podcast “The Land” on Spotify
Bridesmaid
Megan is David’s little sister. In the beginning, it was your standard brother/sister relationship. She would cry and whine all the time, and David would torment the crap out of her. Over time though, they became incredibly close; almost like brother and sister. She is someone David trusts and can rely on. Not only that, but she helps pick on Nan (mom). She is an amazing sister, and will be an amazing sister-in-law to Darian- She’s already proven that. “Megan, we’ve come a long way. I remember tying you to a chair, pushing you down at the bus stop and giving you a nosebleed, losing a bet about who would win the ‘98 suberbowl to you, and so, so much more. Now look at us… who would’ve thought (Paul Rudd Hot Ones reference anyone?)? I don’t tell you enough, but I love you with all my heart, and I’m so incredibly grateful to call you my sister” -Bro
Groomsman
Dylan and Darian are siblings who truly care for each other and who, dare I say, actually enjoy spending time with one another... even when their parents aren't forcing them to! He is an extremely intelligent PA who loves hiking anywhere and everywhere. "Dylan, we have come so far over the last 10 years. I have seen you grow into an amazing young man and I am so proud to have you standing with David and I on our big day. I am even more proud to call you my brother. I Love you!"- Darian
Bridesmaid
Abbie is Darian's, well.... work wife, turned bestie! It took a matter of seconds for them to figure out that they were one in the same and that they were going to be inseparable. Not a day goes by that they do not talk to one another, and they wouldn't have it any other way! Abbie is one of the most thoughtful and kind people you will ever meet. "Abbie, how could I possibly get married without my right arm?? You are truly one of the best people I know and I don't think we would be here today without you. Thank you for being one of my best friends! Love you girl!"- Darian
Groomsman
Aka Tone, Spicy T? Maybe not Spicy T but maybe it’ll catch on. These two became friends not by choice, but rather date. They became friends because their mothers met at conferences and had a mutual hatred for their 9th grade Honors English teacher. From there it was GG EZ. From playing Smash Bros in the Raeker family basement, to driving past an enormous puddle and splashing the life out of those two dudes randomly walking on the sidewalk; there’s never been a dull moment. The third member of The Scream Team, a die hard Gopher fan, and one of the best friends anyone could ask for. Seriously, this dude is friends with literally everybody. “Tone, I know you laughed at the puddle splashing thing. Also, for the record, AL YOU WERE NOT THERE! Thank you for (usually) being a voice of reason, and containing some of the wild that resides inside me. Maybe a scary movie soon?” -David
Groomsman
Aka E-Money, Rocketman, Rick, Eason. These two have known each other for a long, long time (or at least since they rode the same bus in elementary and middle school). Jack’s pizzas and Mountain Dew in his parent’s basement was where it was at in high school. Then they lived in the same dorm at UMD; although, only one of them actually lived there and the other, me, just moved his mattress from the apartments across campus into the room next to him. He’s always down to have a good time and has always been an amazing friend. There’s never a dull moment with Ryan; especially if he ever becomes his drunk alter ego, Rick. “Hey dad, member when I’ve still never said a bad thing about you, ever? Seriously, I haven’t and there’s nothing bad to ever say about you. You’re a great friend and someone who I always have a great time with; whether that be going out or watching you pace while watching a Vikings game. Kaaaaaaaay.” -David
Groomsman
Aka J-Wow or better yet, Lord Voldemort. Somewhere along the line these two became best friends…. For a month. What a month that was though; especially getting to use his temporary handicap parking permit. He’s a genuine human being who cares about everyone else’s well-being more than his own. Some would call him the glue (Jay don’t read this). Was it mentioned that this guy hits nukes in softball? Because he does, and he is a baller on the court, and money at being a great friend that everyone loves. Not to mention, he’s single😎. “Jordan if I would’ve gotten married in that month we were best friends, you definitely would’ve been my best man. Top 100 friends will work though. Thank you for including not just me, but Darian as well into things. Honestly, you might be better friends with her than you are with me at this point (Jordan, you definitely are better friends with me and I’m not even mad; and yes… I did hijack David’s groomsmen notes). I’m so glad that we get to call our friend. Who knows, maybe someday you and me could be besties again.” -Alldave1919
Groomsman
Aka Flick. These two met when they were in third grade. There were some warning signs with Andrew though; like the time he kicked a kid’s broken leg. They played soccer together for many years, coached by Andrew’s dad, Stephen, the entire time, and those were some of the best years ever. Almost every single day was spent at his house; however, it wasn’t because David liked Andrew. It was because Andrew’s dad always kept that house stocked with snacks and treats. Plus, he always had the newest gaming system available. Even though they didn’t maintain that level of friendship over time, Andrew will always be one of David’s closest friends. “Andrew, I never know when you’re serious and I hate you for that. That is all… But seriously, I feel like no matter where we’ve left off in life, the second we reconnect it’s like there was never a gap. You will always be one of my best friends whether you like it or not.” -David
Groomsman
Aka Emilio Ferrari, or Zim. The hatred for this guy was real early on back in high school. Somewhere along the line though, he became an okay friend- If he gets too much credit it might go to his head. Part of the inaugural Jellystone crew, where he and David shared a one person sleeping bag (not by David’s choice) “and there it goes”. We couldn’t ask for a better setter for the beach volleyball squad either (If any of you know a better setter let me know). Jerrad has been a great friend and he will keep you in your place… no seriously, he works in a prison, so he will literally keep people in their place. “Jerrad, being friends with you is like playing rocket league with you… you never know what’s coming next. I will give you a little credit though, your ability to always get 2 of the most insanely random questions correct at trivia is second to none. Darian and I have really enjoyed all the double dates with you and Rae as well. I appreciate your wit, brutal honesty, and occasionally, your friendship” -David
Officiant
For those of you who may not know, David was adopted from South Korea when he was just 5 months old. Leo and Nan are his incredible parents; without them, there is no David (duh, that’s what parents are). Leo has been nothing short of a perfect dad; teaching David how to ride a bike, carrying him on his shoulders, and taking the family on many, many vacations. Not only that, but he really set the example on how to be a good human, a good dad, and an EXCEPTIONAL husband. “Dad, I love you, and Darian loves you. You’ve set the standard to which I want to become. I’m forever grateful for every opportunity you and mom have ever given me, and for the love and support that you’ve given me my entire life. I’m so glad that I get to share you with Darian now, because she deserves you both just as much as I do.” -Sonny Boy
