When Ade first started at Clayco as an intern, she remembers vividly the first time she met Fernando. She was pretty shy when it came to meeting all her coworkers that week. The only person she couldn't stop talking to was Fernando. There wasn't a topic they couldn't talk about because of so many similar interests. There was a point where she remembers seeing Fernando in the server room with his spikey hair, thinking "hmm.. wouldn't it be funny if we got married?" But alas, they became great friends....for now. They tried to keep it cool really, they both had their own, different lives outside of work but always found it easy to talk about anything with each other. Eventually, that friendship grew into something bigger and so they decided to give dating a shot. After all, they were both IT professionals, they both played soccer, they both dreamed of traveling far and wide and they even drove the same cars (Mitsubishi Lancers aka Lancies). In general they had very similar values and they just felt like they knew each other their entire lives. Looks like it worked out :)
As they were checking out of a bed & breakfast in Dingle, Ireland they had a quick chat with Patrick, the owner of the house. He asked them where they were going and so they explained the exciting day ahead: Driving through some crazy road named "Connor's Pass" towards the famous "Cliffs of Moher". Patrick stopped them and said "NO". They were confused why he hated the itinerary? He explained that they must go around the coast through "Slea Head Road" and then to "Connor's Pass". OKAY FINE! They listened and wow...that local Dingleman was right....The plan was to drive quickly through "Slea Head Road" to save some time, but the views were so incredible that instead, they stopped at every single viewpoint to take in the sights. This included a hidden beach, where they even wrote "A+F" in the sand (pic below). Ade remembers thinking "Wow, this would be the perfect place to get proposed to" Fernando thought the same thing, but he wanted to capture the moment and no one else was around, so they moved on. THE NEXT SPOT WAS EVEN MORE BREATHTAKING. Ade ran out of the car and went to read a sign explaining how Star Wars was filmed right here! She was excited trying to explain which movie scene was filmed here but Fernando seemed like he wasn't listening, as it turns out he was too busy looking for someone to help capture this moment. She decided to run away towards the water to get a closer look while he stayed back. A couple min later, he comes out of nowhere with a stranger saying "she's going to take our picture!" Ade was surprised bc this was not something he would do - what a great gesture! Ade was fixing her hair, ready to take the photo and all of a sudden, Fernando said "I love you" very slowly and Ade said "yeah, I love you too!" haha! Little did she know, he was ready to propose. As soon as he got on one knee, she said "YES" 4 times. She actually didn't remember if he asked the question at all and had him re-ask her at the restaurant they went to right after.
