We first met right after moving into our dorms at Messiah College. Our respective roommates were friends from high school and introduced us. At the beginning of sophomore year, we went on a beach trip with a group of friends, and we realized that there were feelings there for both of us. We have been together ever since!

A vacation with the family took us to Gatlinburg, TN for the second time in our relationship. We spent the week seeing the sites, hiking, and making memories. The final night of vacation, we were sitting alone out on the porch soaking in the last bit of vacation together. In the cool summer air, out of nowhere, he pulled out the ring and popped the question. Of course, the answer was "Yes", and happy tears were shed all around. The rest of the evening was spent contacting everyone we could think of to tell them the news!
