We’re Getting Married!!!

Gosh…writing out 2012 - now 10 years later, we’re making it official!! Allie was working the front desk at Lifetime Fitness in Plymouth when a handsome, young and VERY shy Joey Doyle checked in everyday for his workout. Flash forwards a few months, the crush turned into Allie and Joey were sneaking around because God forbid a 17 year old Allie was dating an OLDER BOY!! We spent our summer nights at the Plymouth Movie theater, walking around the lakes and getting dinner at the drive in. Allie went off to college at St. Ben’s and Joey became the honorary Johnny spending his weekends tailgating with Allie’s friends and his nights at the good ole Sals’ Bar and Grill. From the teenage crush, to now celebrating at our house surrounded by our friends and family - we cannot thank you enough for the love and support throughout the years!! Cheers!!

After a year of Joey traveling for work and Allie working the frontlines as a Covid ICU nurse, we were in for a much needed vacation. We wanted to do something nontraditional and explore the Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee. As country music fanatics, we fell in love with Tennesse the first time we vacationed in Nashville. This time around, we rented a car and drove East to the mountains. After little to no research, we went on a hike that consisted of two out of shape individuals on the longest and hardest hike of our lives. After almost 5 miles uphill in the Smokey Mountains, we reached a waterfall that somehow made it all worth it. As two sweaty messes, we propped up our phone and had to capture the beauty of the falls behind us…moments later, Joey dropped down on one knee. Allie in complete and utter shock and plenty of tears….cheers erupted all around us, it was SO worth it. The 5 miles back down the mountain were all smiles, mostly because we were going downhill this time, but because Allie couldn’t stop staring at the ring that Joey had his backpack all 3 days of this trip. That sly dog.
