Matron of Honor
Caroline and I were randomly assigned as freshman-year roommates at Elon! We have been attached at the hip ever since. I like to joke that Caroline is my third favorite member of her family, after her daughter and husband, but I promise I like her a little bit. Caroline is more like a sister and even my brother, Niko, probably prefers her as a big sibling.
Best Man
Pat and Eric are both from Rochester, MN (land of the loons) and have known each other since middle school. They became friends playing on various soccer teams together over the years. In adulthood, we can thank Pat for getting Eric to move down to North Carolina! Eric and Pat play on an adult league soccer team together and Eric is a proud uncle to Pat's sweet dog, Nora.
Bridesmaid
Kinsey and I lived together in London during study abroad and remained the best of friends through college and beyond. I am pretty sure I lived at her and Bo's house right out of college (and honestly still would if I could)! Kinsey is the type of friend who remembers to text before every single life event and is truly the best listener. Everyone needs a Kinsey in their lives!
Bridesmaid
Chelsey and I met through a service organization in college, studied abroad together, and then really bonded when we were paired as teaching partners for our education courses and student teaching! Chelsey wins you over with her sense of humor and ability to make even the small moments magical. She is the type of friend who is there in an instant if you need her!
Bridesmaid
I met Stephens during her first year of teaching (my fourth). We had classrooms next to each other and taught together for about 6 years. Most recently we got our National Boards together and celebrated Stephens' wedding last year! We are definitely "school friends" that became "real friends" and everyone is drawn to Stephens' positive energy and love for those around her.
Bridesmaid
Christina, or Nana as we call her, is one of my oldest friends from Maryland. Our brothers, Niko and Nickos, are also best friends, as are our parents. We met on the soccer field when our brothers started playing at age 5 and then were on the dance team together in high school. We have so many memories growing up of dance, sports team dinners, long talks, first loves, and more. Everyone loves Nana and it's so easy to see why!
Bridesmaid
Katherine was part of our star-studded hallway from college, too! One of my favorite college memories is when Katherine and I traveled to Paris together and learned how to take "selfies" for the first time with our digital cameras. Post-college, Katherine and I never lived super close to each other - until a couple years ago when she moved back to Raleigh! It has been a treat reconnecting and picking right back up where we left off.
Bridesmaid
Stacey is Eric's younger sister and, even though Eric hasn't lived in Minnesota for a while, they stay connected via lake trips, Minnesota sports teams, and game nights with the family. Stacey and Natalie have bonded over education, world beliefs, and houseplants! (She has as many as I do!) Stacey has welcomed me into the family so warmly and I am so excited to get her down to visit NC for wedding festivities!
Groomsman
Honestly, we could probably just copy-paste from Prendy's bio for Matt, too. Eric and Matt grew up together and became friends in high school. They continue to bond over discussions of obscure American soccer prospects, evenings at Whistlebinkies, and hounding Matt and his wife to visit NC.
Groomsman
Eric and Nate met on their dorm floor during their first day as freshmen at Iowa State. They spent many days golfing and navigating college together, including the memorable time Eric flung a Chips Ahoy cookie into Nate's mouth with a hockey stick.
Groomsman
Luke and Eric met playing soccer in 2nd or 3rd grade. Clearly soccer plays a big part in this Rochester friend group! Luke's love of OU sports, new beers at Thesis, and hot takes in fantasy football always find their way into the group chat.
Groomsman
Eric met Brandyn his freshman year at Iowa State even though, ironically, they grew up in the same hometown of Rochester, MN. In college, they enjoyed many hours of gaming and pickup hockey. Congrats to Brandyn, who is getting married two weeks before we are!
Groomsman
Pat and Eric were roommates in Dayton, OH, where they worked for Wright State University. They both continue to work in and have a passion for college athletics. Pat and Eric spent many days playing disc golf and watching Letterkenny.
Flower Child
Niko is Natalie's younger brother and he's her opposite in just about every way. Niko is a super talented artist and you can see his artwork on the invitations and other places throughout the wedding. Niko and Eric have met just a few times at family functions since Niko lives on the west coast, but Eric plays Niko's beach playlist on repeat, so clearly they are pretty compatible!
