“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11 Our story is one of God’s perfect timing, gentle redirection, and the kind of love that quietly grows when you least expect it. We first met in 2020 through a mutual friend’s softball game. It was one of those casual, fun weekends with new faces. The day after the first game, we all ended up hanging out at The Woodlands Country Club. At the time, it was just a fun moment among friends—no one could have guessed that years later, that same spot would become the place where Sawyer proposed. Over the next few years, we crossed paths a handful of times, always just as friends. Life had us in different cities—he was in Houston, then Oklahoma, while I was in Austin before eventually moving back to Houston. Our timing never quite lined up. We’d see each other here and there, never realizing that God was gently writing something beautiful behind the scenes. Then came a season of deep heartbreak. Sawyer’s mom was diagnosed with cancer, and during that time, we reconnected through social media. After her passing, we found ourselves talking more—offering support, sharing memories, and slowly discovering something deeper taking root between us. It wasn’t sudden, but it was real. In the midst of loss, God was quietly doing something redemptive. Looking back, we now see how God was weaving our story together with such care and intention. He brought us together not when life was easy, but when we were ready—ready to appreciate the gift of love, friendship, and faith in each other. True to His Word, God made everything beautiful in its time. So when Sawyer brought me back to The Woodlands Country Club and asked me to be his wife, it felt like a full-circle moment, one that only God could orchestrate. What began as a casual group hangout had turned into a sacred place where our next chapter began. As we look toward marriage, we do so with hearts full of joy, hope, and faith. Our story isn’t perfect, but it’s covered in grace. And we know that with God at the center, the best is yet to come!
We’re so thankful for every person who has supported and encouraged us, our family, our friends, those who have prayed over us and stood beside us, even before we fully understood what God was doing.
