We're getting married!

Erica and John crossed paths during the Fall of 2015, but John assumed she was too young for him! They met again through a mutual group of friends at the Brewery in October 2020. After playing sequence with a group of friends and hearing her laugh, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life making her laugh.    After several months of getting to know each other as friends and a ski trip with their mutual friends in Colorado, John decided it was time to ask her for coffee in March 2021. Erica’s immediate reaction was she was not ready for a relationship and only wanted to remain friends, but after her best friend encouraging her how great he is, she asked him if he would like to go play tennis together. There is nothing like a friendly competition to see if you are compatible. They had so much fun getting to know each other deeper through a mutual love of being outside playing tennis, pickle ball, golf, and walks around the lake.   By May 2021, Erica decided this “not so old” guy was exactly who she needed – mature, wise, kind-hearted, spiritually thoughtful, and sooooo good looking.   A friendship grew from there and by June 2021, they started dating and were inseparable from then on.

After a normal Collective coffee date with Sophie and several missed calls from John, Erica text John letting him know she would walk over to his house for breakfast soon (their favorite Saturday date time!). John was persistent to pick her up because “the Bacon” was already in the oven and it would get cold. She was shocked by how fast he zoomed from her house to his. She thought, “he is REALLY hungry!” Little did she know, he had transformed his living room into a proposal set up with David and Sophie the evening before. With wet hair and CBD eye patches, she could not believe the surprise and said “is this real?” several times as she tried to take it all in. He dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
