Things To Do

There is a lot to do in the Cuyahoga National Park area but we also threw in some of our favorite places in the northern Ohio area if you are looking to make more of a trip.
Brandywine Falls

Brandywine Falls

If you are looking for some hiking, this hike is highly recommended and easy to do. It says it takes about 1 to 2 hours to do.

Boston Mill Visitor Center

Boston Mill Visitor Center

6947 Riverview Road, Peninsula, OH 44264

This is the closest Cuyahoga National Park Visitor Center to our wedding venue. Where you can hop on the towpath with a bike or your feet or hop on a scenic train ride.

Cedar Point

Cedar Point

1 Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870

This is about an hour away from the venue and would recommend at least a half of day here.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

Hudson

This is about an 1 and 15 minutes away from the hotel blocks. This is the town Hannah's mom, Sharon, grew up in and holds a special place in our hearts as a vacation spot for our family. It is a "Great Lake Town" on Lake Erie. Kelleys Island

This could be a quick stop if you are exploring other parts of the lake or heading west by car.

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Peninsula, OH

Discover the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park by bicycling, running, or strolling on the Towpath Trail. Here you can travel the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal on the same path that mules walked to tow canal boats loaded with goods and passengers. From the trail, you can make connections to many natural and historic sites, as well as to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Peninsula

Peninsula

Peninsula, OH 44264

There are some cute shops and restaurants to explore. This is about 5 minutes away from the wedding venue and about 10 minutes away from the hotel blocks.

Skyline Chili

Skyline Chili

4127 Bridgewater Parkway, Stow, OH 44224

If you know Hannah and Eric you know that they love Skyline Chili. It is a Cincinnati based chili casual restaurant, right by the hotels. Hannah's recommendation: 4-way with onions or chilitos with onion. Eric's recommendation: 5-way with both beans and onions. (may want to plan on taking pepto or tums with meal..lol)
