We met in 2017 while attending the University of Scranton, where Shannon was studying Occupational Therapy and Nick was studying Electrical Engineering. One day Shannon’s volleyball team was hosting a charity tournament for students to participate in, and Nick just so happened to join a team last minute to fill in for a friend who couldn’t make it. Shannon recalls spotting Nick from across the gym and joking to her teammates “that’s my husband”. We didn’t meet that night but a few days later after Nick’s volleyball team was working one of Shannon’s games, her teammates ran into Nick at a friend’s house and set the two of us up! We began to spend as much time together as we could, always laughing and having fun, and knew we had an immediate connection that would last. We have been together for almost 7 years now, have lived together in Pennsylvania for almost 4, and share a 2 year old dog Winnie together! On June 16, 2023 we were on Long Island, where Shannon is from, visiting her family when Nick proposed! Nick had been secretly working with Shannon’s family to plan the perfect surprise proposal for weeks. Shannon joined her mom and sisters for a day at Del Vino Vineyards where, to Shannon’s surprise, Nick was waiting down the vines to propose with the most beautiful ring! We were so happy to have that moment and celebrate with family afterwards. We are so excited to be able to share in this next step and start our married life together with all of our closest friends and family this year, and hope that you will all be able to join us in celebrating our love!
