Wedding Party

Meet the people who will be by our sides on our big day!

Marissa

Maid of Honor

Marissa and I met at daycare when we were just a couple of months old. Obviously, I don’t actually remember the meeting, but it must have gone well because here we are 27 years later. Now what I do remember are countless sleepovers, tv show marathons, late night ice cream & froyo runs, surprise visits in college, New Year’s & Fourth of July celebrations, baking experiments in the kitchen, Easter egg decorating (yes, I’m aware she’s Jewish…) and being there for each other during our awkward middle school phase. Not a lot of people can say they’ve known their best friend for their entire life, but I’m lucky enough to be one who can. She’s basically my sister (my semi-almost-adopted hermana to be exact) and I am honored to stand by her side as she and Noah begin this next stage of life.

Kurt

Best Man

Originally climbing gym buddies after college, I became close friends and eventually roommates with Noah, spending extensive time at the beach and fostering fierce rivalries in ping-pong and various board games. While living with Noah, I had a front row seat to seeing Noah and Marissa's immediate chemistry, watch their relationship grow and deride Marissa for her poor choice of sports teams (GO DODGERS). When not commiserating about injuries or locked in a fierce pun battle with Noah, you can find me out for a run and cheering for the boys in blue. I'm looking forward to supporting these two kooks as they take this next step in their journey together!

Charity

Bridesmaid

My name is Charity and I live in Evanston, IL. Marissa and I go way back- I’ve known her for over 20 years! We met in elementary school at Walker Elementary and first became friends when I joined Girl Scouts in 3rd grade. Since then, we grew closer as we went to middle and high school together (you can imagine the amount of funny, embarrassing and fond memories we share!) and are still friends now in our adulthood. I am so excited to support one of my oldest friends as she marries the love of her life! Congrats Marissa and Noah! <3

Anthony

Groomsman

Noah first knew me as the scrawny kid trying to stay afloat in Junior Lifeguards. We spent the following years growing to love the ocean and to this day meet up most weekends for a beach trip. If the weather is bad, we head to the movie theaters! I took a video production class with Noah in high school and can proudly claim to be the Producer on his very first film. We've seen countless movies together, from the good (1917, Jojo Rabbit), to the bad (Star Wars Episode IX), to the really bad (Holmes & Watson), even to the ones I liked but he didn't (Serenity). Although we are no longer roommates (we lived together for 2 years!), I still drop by his apartment to play games and enjoy Marissa's baking. I look forward to future years of friendship and getting to know the married Noah Dates.

Sam

Bridesman

Hi! I'm Sam, and I am overjoyed to be here to celebrate this beautiful moment in Marissa and Noah's lives! Marissa and I were quick friends in elementary school - Wolverines represent!! Some of our earliest memories together are at the zoo in first or second grade (we couldn't quite remember which). Sharing early roots, we grew and changed over time, but Marissa has always been and will forever be a warm and welcoming person and friend. I remember her bringing us together for goofy hangouts that often evolved into rounds of Just Dance video games, nights around the fire with s'mores, and New-Years-Day waffles! Marissa, I am thankful to be in your circle, and in your wedding. Cheers!

Rachel

Groomswoman

I met Noah during freshman year of college. In fact, my grandfather told me to seek him out before I left; he told me there was a “nice Jewish boy” I should meet who was also starting at Lewis & Clark College that Fall. We quickly became good friends. Going on hiking trips together, exploring Portland, and helping each other through life’s ups and downs. Noah has been my friend and confidant through all my romantic relationships, through trips to Israel and Japan together, and countless other adventures. I proudly call him my “fake cousin” because he feels so much like family. I’m so excited for Noah and Marissa and I wish them the very best.

Shantel

Bridesmaid

I’m Shantel and I grew up in Evanston, IL. I had the pleasure of meeting Marissa in high school at what became our “home away from home” - The Evanston Twp (Athletic) Training Room. There are countless-truly countless- memories we went on to share caring for ETHS Athletic teams year-round. Throughout the years we continued to bond over our passion for kinesiology and so much more! Marissa is dear to my heart. I am so excited for her and Noah and overjoyed to support her in this celebration!

Gabe

Groomsman

Gabe and Noah met and became friends as co-workers at MotorTrend. Both Noah and Gabe have a passion for all things comedy & Mel Brooks, and so their days would be spent debating the brilliance of Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman. On the days where actual work would be accomplished the two would still find the time to craft absurd titles and premises, always in good fun. In 2019 Gabe and Noah took a two-week trip to Japan and the two still don’t shut up about how much fun it was! Gabe is currently a freelance director in Los Angeles, CA and while he no longer gets to see Noah every day, the two still find the time to come together and make their silly jokes.

Allie

Bridesmaid

In college, Marissa and I became sisters (Phriends for Life!) by chance, and best friends by choice. We’ve danced at Rick’s, talked on the phone for hours, and visited each other from coast to coast. Thanks for coaching me through all the dates – I’m so excited to be with you when you marry your forever Date(s). Congrats to Marisa and Noah! LML

Kenneth

Groomsman

I have been close friends with Noah since we worked alongside one another in the coal mines of MOE/MotorTrend/Discovery/etc. The world of branded advertising is a dark, dirty, and dangerous place where friendships are forged in blood and fire. It is not for everyone. It is for the few who love to descend into the bowels of market research to extract "gold." The bond Noah and I share is eternal.

Sadie

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Marissa my entire life. I am her cousin! Some of my earliest memories are with her. I will always remember all of the sleepovers, shopping trips, and baking days we’ve had. Marissa was 11 when I was born so I have always looked up to her and I am so excited to stand by her side on her wedding day! Congrats to Marissa and Noah! <3

Stan

Groomsman

I met Noah in our first semester of college at Lewis & Clark in Portland, Oregon. We became fast friends in the early months of freshman year, and developed a close bond as juniors when Noah developed an interest in filmmaking. Depending on who you ask, I either ruined or perfected his first foray into film, a noir drama that my horrendous acting transformed into a buddy-cop comedy. (I expect to receive credit in his Oscar acceptance speech.) After graduating, Noah felt the calling of the film world and moved to LA. I did not feel the calling of the film world but moved to LA anyway to study history at USC. He’s been a fantastic friend as I’ve adjusted to life down here. Ten years on since our first hijinks, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him and Marissa. Congratulations!

Nathan

Bridesman

Colin

Groomsman

I met Noah during my first year at Lewis and Clark College. We became friends while learning to whitewater kayak (although mainly in indoor swimming pools) and over very rainy College Outdoors trips. After school, despite moving apart we have remained close and continue to give each other poor advice over frequent Skype calls. I am excited to continue this tradition as I hear about this very promising next chapter in Noah’s life.
