Nick reached out to me via instant message after he realized we had some mutual friends in common. Can you believe we met at a party prior (didnt remember me) and he reached out to me to get into contact with a girl her knew? RUDE! We decided to continue our new found friendship. After a few months of texting and phone conversations, Nick asked me to go to the movies to see 'Just Married' (the irony). I didn't want to go alone, so I invited a friend for back-up. We shared a few laughs, candy, and mozzarella sticks and continued to date each other -- the rest is history!
Nick and I have traveled to NYC plenty of times, but this time was different -- it was Hayden's first trip to the city. Nick was acting strange from the days before leaving to the moment we landed in the city. He asked me prior to landing what we wanted to do on Friday afternoon as we had the morning and mid-day to ourselves. I told him I wanted to take a stroll in Central Park as I wanted Hayden to experience the beautiful scenery. We agreed it would be perfect considering we were going to the Central Park Zoo later that day. Friday After breaking away from his parents, we walked into Central Park and took some photos in front of the billionaires row. Nick led the way and wanted to stop on the Gapstow bridge, with me not knowing this is where he WANTED to propose. The bridge had many tourists so he decided to take myself and Hayden to the river side in front of the bridge. I told Nick to turn towards to the condominiums with Hayden and take a picture. After, he told me to take one with her. When I turned around, nick was taking such a long time to take a photo. He then said, "done!". I turned around and noticed a folded paper in Hayden's hand. I thought she took the zoo passes out of my backpack and was furious. When I opened up the folded paper, the note said "Mommy, will you marry Dada?". Such an amazing experience. I've told Nick numerous times that I wanted to get engaged in Central Park in NY when we were dating, the only difference now was with our daughter. I wanted her to be involved. I never cried so many happy tears of my life until this moment.
