Our Story

Andrew Jones

Groom

The summer I met Morgan I had no idea that I’d be meeting my wife. What a wonderfully beautiful surprise she turned out to be. She was kind, funny, sweet, supportive, & the most beautiful woman I’d ever met. None of those traits have diminished in the 4 years we’ve been together. When I met her, I didn’t think I was capable of being in a relationship. I was sad, bitter, & didn’t know anything about the person I wanted to become. I was lost, but she brought me back. In a twist of the usual boy meets girl dynamic, she pursued me in such an intentional & patient way that I didn’t even realize how head over heels I was for her until we became official. We made it our mission to make every last second count before she moved back to Nashville for college that August. The next few months of long distance were brutal. Meticulously checking our schedules to squeeze in a FaceTime date whenever possible, fighting through Chattanooga traffic, only to leave a few days later. When we finally would reunite during one of her breaks for an extended period of time, it was heaven. Those breaks made the next years of long distance that much easier to bear. Before we knew it, she had graduated & was home for good, and even quicker than that, we were signing the lease on our first apartment together with our cat Frederick. As we move into wedding season, I can’t help but be stunned at how wonderful and amazing a woman Morgan is. I wouldn’t be the same without her, and I cannot wait to marry her.

Morgan Savatgy

Bride

After finishing my sophomore year of college, I drove home for the summer — except home was now a brand new place! My parents moved away from the town I grew up in a few months prior while I was off at school, and I found myself struggling to meet other twenty-somethings. I downloaded Bumble as a last ditch effort. I had always told myself I would never use a dating app, and I certainly didn’t expect to find a boyfriend on one (let alone a husband). Andrew & I matched my first day on the app, we went on our first date the next day, and I deleted Bumble the day after that! Not to sound dramatic, but I knew I loved him early into dating him. He was the kindest, gentlest man I’d ever met. We were inseparable that summer. We spent almost all of our days together until August when the fall semester began. Now, we were four hours apart from each other. Long distance was certainly not easy, but for Andrew, it was worth it. Two years, countless Facetime dates, and even more miles driven later, we reached the finish line of long distance in 2023! We moved into our first home in 2024 and adopted our cat, Frederick, that same year. Andrew asked me to be his wife on June 14th -- two weeks before our four year anniversary. As we begin the countdown to our wedding, I sit here feeling nothing but gratitude. Andrew is the man I always hoped I would marry. He is kind, patient, gentle, handsome, funny, witty, and caring. I am beyond lucky that he’s my person.
