Boston has a lot of fun things to explore! Becky's favorite area is Faneuil Hall area which is walking distance to the New England Aquarium where you can watch seals play in the outdoor tank while taking in the water views.
If you're into Halloween, witches, literature, or the witch trials, be sure to check out Salem! It's home to not only the trials but also Salem Witch Museum, the House of the Seven Gables, and the Peabody Essex Museum. There are also many adorable local shops and restaurants to explore. Salem is a wonderful place to visit year-round!
This quaint town that we have visited many times has so much to offer! Go see the Plymouth Rock, Plimouth Plantation, or tour the Mayflower replica. Or just want to take in the seaside!
Old Sturbridge Village is a great place to take families. It's a living museum that recreates life in rural New England from the 1790s-1830s. It's the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast. There are often events planned on the weekend for families to enjoy.
If you're more sports oriented, you'll want to check out this Hall of Fame in Western Massachusetts. This museum is dedicated to promoting and preserving the history of basketball. Or if museums aren't your thing, check to see if the legendary Boston Red Sox are playing or try any of our local minor league teams, like our Worcester Bravehearts.
If you have a love of literature, then you can create your own literary tour! There are many places to visit in Massachusetts alone. Some stops to include are Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House, Walden Pond and Thoreau's Cabin, the House of Seven Gables, the Dr. Seuss Museum, and Herman Melville's Arrowhead. You can also find Robert Frost in New Hampshire, and Mark Twain & Harriet Beecher Stowe in Connecticut. Might have to stay a while if you want to hit all these spots!
While you can find many Groupon/Living Social deals for whale watching, this is the company Becky and her parents used. It was a wonderful time seeing these magnificent creatures!
