To Make a Long Story Short...

First comes Waffle House, then comes marriage

He had just moved to Georgia, starting fresh in a new place. I was already here, living my life, not knowing that fate was about to step in. We met online: 2 strangers brought together by timing, curiosity, and a little digital magic. Our first date was at this very romantic restaurant called Waffle House, and it was anything but ordinary. He showed up with roses in hand, and from the moment we sat down, it felt like we’d known each other forever. We talked for hours, laughing and sharing stories like old friends. And then, at the end of that very first date, he told me he loved me. It was bold, unexpected, and somehow… just right. Seven years flew by, filled with love, growth, and countless memories. Through it all, he’s been my rock—and not just mine. He’s supported me and my daughter, Lily, with unwavering love. Their bond is something truly special, and watching them together has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Then came the moment that changed everything. We were celebrating our anniversary at the Sun Dial restaurant in Atlanta, surrounded by the glittering skyline. I was gazing through binoculars at the city lights when I turned around and there he was, down on one knee, asking me to be his forever. It was perfect. Just like us.
