We happened to meet at a UMN football game. Zach was with his guys friends and Savannah was with her girlfriends. Both groups had mutual friends between the other, but that was the first time Zach and Savannah were introduced to one another. Neither thought much of it in the moment, until that following March, two of their mutual friends, Reed (our Groomsman) and Maddy (our Maid of Honor), set up and encouraged the two to go on a date. Our first date was at Annies Parlor, a UMN favorite diner, and lasted for over 3 hours of amazing conversation and laughs. That was pretty much when we thought "Okay, this could be something" & the rest is history.

Savannah was with Zach at his family's cabin in Wisconsin. To her it was a typical evening up at the Theer's cabin. Everyone ate dinner, then sat out on the porch enjoying the views, and then the two decided to go for a little ATV ride. Savannah was driving and coincidentally, lucky for Zach, decided to drive up to the overlook at the Spread Eagles Barrens State Natural Area - a place we always go to at least once together while we're up north. The two enjoyed the views and as the sun was setting in the distance, Zach got down on one knee and asked Savannah to be his forever. After Savannah collected herself, the two drove back to his cabin and unknowingly to Savannah, Zach had asked Savannah's family to come up to surprise her. The rest of the night and weekend was spent with both Zach and Savannah's families celebrating. We are so excited to celebrate the start of our next chapter of life with you! See you soon!
