the beginning of a magical friendship
It started at our mutual friend's birthday party (thanks Emmi!!). Fate placed our seats across the table from each other as we bonded over why the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich was the best thing on the menu. Yes, we ordered the same thing. Both happy to make acquaintances with a similar silly & spontaneous personality. Once again fate crossed our paths when Sam found that awesome person he met two days ago behind the library reception desk. A simple hi and some flirtatious banter exchanged creating the spark of something beautiful. Huh, college kids!!!
2015-2020
friendship turned to love
These years were packed full of shenanigans - many walks along the Fox River, exploring MKE, trying new food, music concerts, roadtrips, game nights with friends. A mutual love for quirky coffee shops, Harry Potter & all other things nerdy. Long talks about life, religion, family, & travel. Discovering how alike we were - from our upbringing & values, to our interests & goals in life. All the while friends kept joking “You’re the same person! You’re meant to be! Date already!” After ignoring the signs of love, we finally dropped our reserves & embraced romance in August of 2020.
10.19.21 to now
the proposal & beyond
A year into us dating, Savannah moved to Portland, OR for a temporary travel nurse assignment. Sam brought his family to visit with a secret plan to pop the question. That magical moment happened in front of Multnomah Falls, a moment Savannah will never forget! Two years later, we’ve grown closer to each other’s families, moved to Madison, loved our curious cat Mylo, & visited Bangladesh together. We are so excited to celebrate with you all & see where this next chapter of life takes us. Thank you so much for continuously cheering us on!
