How We Met

We met at Savannah's job, Rick's Boatyard, where she was working as the Events Manager. Ross was a regular and could often be found sitting at the bar with his laptop and a stiff pour of bourbon. We chatted frequently, but usually it was nothing more than small talk. One day, Savannah started talking to Ross about how she was trying to live her life with a mindset of abundance. This is the moment Ross thought to himself, "wait a minute... I think there might be more to this girl than what meets the eye."

What Happened Next

Very quickly, Ross and Savannah's daily conversations at the bar top at Rick's became much more than surface level. Ross invited Savannah to a Pacers game which she ended up having to cancel on at the last minute. Little did we know what was to come next. In March of 2020 the stay at home order went into effect in Indianapolis and Ross and Savannah had yet to go on an "official" first date. They wanted to keep spending time with each other and getting to know each other, so like any two (not) sane people would do, they decided to quarantine together.

Our Quarantine Story

Since the early days of our relationship were spent with just the two of us at home, we got to know each other pretty quickly. After several DIY projects at the house and late nights on the patio sipping on wine and talking about life, we both knew the connection between us was more than just a spark or fling, it was divine. When the stay at home order ended, the thought of no longer "doing life" together didn't appeal to either of us. So again, we decided to do what two absolutely crazy people would and move in together. Approximately a month after living together when bars and restaurants started opening back up, we went on our first "official" date.

The Proposal

On November 1st, 2020 Ross planned the perfect surprise proposal. He told Savannah that they were going to carve pumpkins and that a friend of his was going to be taking photos during to help her grow her photography business. Savannah felt like something was up when he insisted she get her nails done before (one of the many reasons he is the one) but she didn't want to get her hopes up. But then he got down on one knee and pulled the most stunning ring out of a pumpkin and asked Savannah to marry him... At this point, I think it's safe to say that she said YES!

Surprise!

After the engagement, Ross and Savannah decided to wait awhile before diving into wedding planning since Savannah had decided to go back to school and finish her degree. In April of 2021, Ross and Savannah found out their new family of two would quickly become a family of three and that they would be welcoming a little baby girl in the fall.

Eleanor Marie

On October 30th, 2021 Eleanor Marie Gaddy joined us earth side. Though we didn't think we were missing anything before her arrival, it immediately became so very clear that we were. Sometimes we still can't believe that such a sweet little soul chose us to be her parents.

Last, but not Least

On May 14th, 2022, Ross and Savannah will officially tie the knot with their daughter and closest friends and family at their sides. We're counting down the days and anxiously awaiting to continue our story as husband and wife!
