Did the venue change?

Answer

Yes! Due to unfortunate circumstances, our wedding will no longer be held at Lions Park in Carpinteria. Our ceremony will take place at the Ventura Botanical Gardens Summit Plateau and our reception will be held immediately after the ceremony at the Majestic Ventura Theater. Both locations are within a mile of each other in beautiful downtown Ventura.

Are there COVID guidelines in place for the event?

Answer

For the safety of all beloved guests, especially those with compromised immune systems, we kindly ask that you get tested for COVID-19 within 72 hours of the event if you are not fully vaccinated. We thank you greatly for your cooperation and understanding.

Ceremony (Enter into Google Maps as "Ventura Botanical Gardens - Summit Plateau") From US-101 North: • Take exit 70A for California St • Turn right onto S California St • Turn right onto E Thompson Blvd • Turn left onto S Kalorama St • Turn left onto Summit Dr • Sharp right onto Brakey Rd • Turn right onto Grant Park Fuel Break Rd for the parking lot Reception (Enter into Google Maps as "The Majestic Ventura Theater") From US-101 North: • Take exit 70A for California St • Turn right onto S California St • Turn right onto E Thompson Blvd • Turn left onto Chestnut St and the theater is on the right

What is the parking situation for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception spaces are very close to one another (only about 1 mile distance). The ceremony space has limited parking. A shuttle will be available in front of The Majestic Ventura Theater for transportation to and from the ceremony. The shuttle will run from 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM and from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM. After the parking at the ceremony venue is full, guests will be directed to park near the theater and take the shuttle. The Ventura Theater has a public lot next to it and ample parking options around it including: - Parking Structure at 74 S California St, Ventura, CA 93001 - Parking Lot at 42 N Chestnut St, Ventura, CA 93001 - Parking Lot at 5181 N California St, Ventura, CA 93001

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no strict dress code. Slacks, dresses, polos, aloha shirts, and jumpsuits are all welcome. Please be aware that the ceremony is on grass/mulch, so plan footwear accordingly!

Can I bring people that aren't in my party on the RSVP list?

Answer

While we would love to invite many people, due to venue limits, we have had to limit our guest list to those specifically included in your party on the RSVP page. This includes children and babies. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Why is there a space that says "Guest Name Unknown" in my party on the RSVP page?

Answer

This means we have invited you to include a "Plus One" to accompany you if you wish. If you want to bring someone, simply edit the name for your Plus One and specify that they will attend.

Oh no! I can't attend, but I already RSVP'd. What do I do?

Answer

We're sorry we won't see you there! If you previously RSVP'd, but now can't attend for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as possible! Reach out to Savannah at (805) 240-6050 or Reid at (808) 938-4530.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony and reception to post on social media?

Answer

During the ceremony, we ask you to kindly silence your phones and refrain from taking photos. We have a professional photographer on hand to capture all the special moments and share them with you! During the reception, feel free to take pictures and videos.
