Greece in summer is typically hot, dry, and sunny with it also being windy with July in Ios. Average daily highs 84-90 F and nights cooling to roughly 70-75 F. It is peak summer with high sun exposure, minimal rainfall, and enjoyable sea breezes, making it ideal for beach activities.

Greece uses Euro's! While many places accept card (25% VAT tax), cash is often preferred (and tax free). Please plan to get Euros out at home or at the airport. You can get cash out of the ATM's but please have your Debit card if you plan to do this.
VAT is (Value-Added Tax) is applied to all charges when a card is used. In Greece, VAT is 25% and added to your final bill. To avoid this pay cash where possible.
We're so excited to celebrate with you! To allow everyone to fully relax and enjoy the evening, we've decided to have an adults-only ceremony and reception. Our venue also has some features like open terraces and a pool that aren't ideal for young children, so we kindly ask that you make arrangements for childcare. We know many of you are traveling a long way, and we'd love for this to be a truly relaxing and fun getaway for you! Nope! This is not required, but renting an ATV, scooter, or car is a great way to explore the island.
We recommend arriving a minimum of at least one/two days before the wedding so you can settle in and enjoy the island and adjust to the time change.

Light summer clothing, Comfortable walking shoes, Beachwear, lots of sunscreen, Dressy attire for wedding events, sun protection (spf beach shirts, hats, sunglasses). You can also buy sunscreen and skincare items at the Pharmacy in the Chora.
Not at all, English is widely spoken throughout Greece and the islands. Though it is recommended to learn at least a few phrases and common says to make it easier for travel and just being kind when visiting another country.
Dinner is much later in Greece culture, often between 7:30 and 10 pm. Be prepared for this and snack it up.
