Our first date was in the summer of 2009. Our moms dropped us off at the Rave movie theater to see the new transformers movie together. After that we decided to be "just friends". We stayed close all through high school, and went to at least one school dance together every year. After high school we went our separate ways ( Landon went to Alabama and I went to Auburn), but we always stayed in touch. Landon came to visit me in Auburn quite a few times freshman year, in fact we had our first kiss on Samford lawn that spring. That summer Landon went to work in Iowa while I was home for the summer, and we decided the distance was too much for that time in our lives, and we decided yet again to remain friends. After another year and a half of being "just friends" we found ourselves in Birmingham together for Christmas break our junior year of college. We started dating again, and this time it was for good. We made the distance work while we finished up college with the plan to eventually move back to Birmingham together. A few weeks after my graduation we went on a weekend lake trip to Muscle Shoals with my college roommates and their boyfriends. Landon proposed to me on a very special spot of the river, and had all of our friends and family secretly waiting for us when we walked back up from the water! I can't wait for a lifetime together with my best friend!
