After an exciting Annual Meeting in 2019, a group got together to go to Penning's Cidery, a local spot in Warwick. By the time everyone settled around the fire, the only seat open was next to Savannah. They spent over an hour talking and laughing, something both would reflect on fondly from time to time in the coming years... this would be the start of a slow burn.
With it being very difficult to surprise Savannah in the first place, I knew I had to get creative to pull off the shock factor. Even with several conversations beforehand to try and throw her off, she still knew something was up. With the backup of her parents behind the scenes, we had a game plan - I turned off my location from my phone, and shared it from my iPad which was purposely left at home. Savannah was expecting me on a Thursday, which from there I would join the annual Pronesti family Outer Banks beach trip...but I snuck on a plane and showed up on the Jersey Shore two days before she was expecting me. I picked up her dad, David, and we drove down to the beach where she was at with her mom, Kim. As her and Kim walk by on the beach, with the ring in my back pocket I snuck up behind her and start following her, expecting her to turn around and see me...but she kept walking and I knew it was time to make my appearance. I say her name, she turns around, and was in complete shock with a loss for words. Mission accomplished!!!
