Josh and I had known of each other while in high school. After that, he went to LBW and AUM and I went to Troy University. Thankfully, the good Lord brought us both back home after graduating college to live with our parents. I guess He knew we needed to be there in order to find each other. On a whim, in the June of 2018, I decided to go to a friend’s party. I walked in, wine in hand and noticed Josh was there. I hadn’t seen him in years. I couldn’t take my eyes off him though. But with a little liquid courage, I soon found myself laying it on thick. We carried on and chatted over a friendly game of beer pong where I made a game-winning shot (left-handed might I add). I must have impressed him. However, who would have known… Josh apparently was so shy that he had to step outside to “slide in my Instagram DM’s” but I never seen the message, at least not until days later. We moved the party to another friend’s house and as I was coming out of the bathroom, Josh blinded-sided me with a kiss that changed it all. I was hooked after that. Months went on and there was shy back-and-forth conversation but that was it. Neither of us would speak up and make a move. Finally, in December of 2018 he made it official by asking me to be his girlfriend. It was such a sweet ending to a beautiful year. We bought our 1st house in August of 2019 and have loved sharing a home together. On March 26, 2020 Josh had my twin sister, Katy, talk me into taking some pregnancy photos. I figured it was weird for Katy to want pictures at like 3 months, but I mean it was her first baby, so who am I to judge… LOL! Much to my surprise, when I arrived at Lake Jackson in Opp, AL, he was waiting at the bottom of the hill along with our closest family and friends with a sweet little question to ask. He is the the man I prayed and trusted God to send. He is patient, loving, and is such a joy to do life with. I cannot wait to begin our chapter as husband and wife.
