Jeff and Savannah met the first week that she moved to Colorado for college. They were both students attending CU Boulder. Savannah lived in the dorms at Williams Village and was parking her car at a house across the street so that she didn't have to pay for a parking pass. It turns out she was parking in front of Jeff's house!
A month into their friendship, Jeff invited Savannah to a CU football game against the Oregon Ducks. They went to a party afterward with their friends, where they had their first kiss. Years later, Savannah told Jeff that she wished she had saved the tickets to that game. It turned out that Jeff had kept them all that time, because he knew that night was special.
Jeff and Savannah hiked Mt. Bierstadt, which was their first 14er. It was an arduous climb to the top, but they were finally able to make it to the summit. Jeff pulled out a cardboard sign that read "Mt. Bierstadt", and asked someone to take their picture. As the picture was being taken, he turned the sign around and it said "Will you marry me?". It was a picture perfect moment. They walked a total of 12 miles, but it was worth every step!
