Savannah: The "beachiest" beach on the central coast. Best swimming spot because there aren't intense waves, and there are some awesome restaurant options right off the beach. Jackson: Check out Avila Valley Barn if you get bored with the beach. You can get some good ice cream and also feed some goats.
Savannah: Great place to go walk on the beach. You can also rent kayaks and SUP in the bay, and get some fresh seafood right on the wharf after. Morro Rock is a preservation area, so you can see a lot of marine life! Jackson: Check out Giovannis Fish Market. They have the best fish and chips on the central coast- just place your order at the outside window! The sand dunes are a good spot to sit and watch surfers.
Savannah: Best sandwiches on the central coast! Get the T-shirt combo meal if you want a souvenir. Jackson: High Street Deli is great, but there is always this low key competition between High Street and Gus's. Check 'em both out and decide for yourself!
Savannah: Best coffee shop on the Central Coast! Neat vibe, good coffee, and they open earlier than most other cafes. Jackson: Very hip coffee shop that turns into a bar and music venue at night. If you feel like you've been waiting forever for your coffee, it's not you, it's them. They are very meticulous, albeit slow, with their coffee creations.
Savannah: If you can make the trip to the north county, this is hands down THE best Mexican food you can get. Oaxacan style, and they have a ginormous selection of homemade salsas! Jackson: El Compadre is the place to be if you like caramelized onions and peppers in your burrito.
Savannah: Great spot for breakfast! I would recommend their breakfast burritos, and honestly anything with chorizo in it. Jackson: I would say their omelets are a must have. 10/10 home fries too. Also this place is dirt cheap, so its definitely a win!
Savannah: An upscale diner to grab breakfast or brunch! Has the diner feel, but quality ingredients. I'd recommend the pancakes. Jackson: If you go, you have to get the linguica and eggs. The breakfast nachos might look cool, but stay away from them...
Savannah: One of the many breweries to check out on the central coast! This one is the classic. If you can only hit one brewery while you're here, hit this one! Their selection of craft brews is unbeatable. Jackson: It's a great atmosphere with lots of games. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I like that they do have other things like cider and hard kombucha on tap.
Savannah: Hands down the most beautiful place on the central coast. You can go for a hike, walk along the bluffs, or even just sit on the beach. Jackson: Ditto. If you can make the trip to check it out, it will definitely be worth your time. This is where we took our engagement photos.
Savannah: Jackson first took me here when we first started dating, so not only is this place special to us, but they also have really freakin' good food. Honestly, try anything on the menu, you won't be disappointed. The owner is always there to give a suggestion if you can't decide. I would recommend the Mole Burrito, or literally any of their enchiladas. Jackson: Chili peppers has the best pollo asado in the area. If you're confused about what that is, it's like carne asada, but chicken. I would suggest the pollo asado burrito with everything.
