We're Getting Married!

Jack and Savannah both grew up in Portland, OR. Although they never attended the same school, they shared many mutual friends through high school and beyond. Savannah went to the University of Oregon and Jack played lacrosse at Dominican University in the Bay Area. Back in Portland for Summer break after their Freshman year, their friends introduced them at a party and they hit it off. Throughout the next two years of school, they would see quite a bit of each other in Portland over breaks and holidays – weddings, concerts, sporting events and even weekend getaways.  Wrapping up their Junior year of college, they decided to make things official and date long distance from Eugene, OR to San Rafael, CA. They would put in many miles of driving and flying (and phone calls) – but it would ultimately prove to be well worth it. After graduation, Savannah joined Jack in the Bay Area where they started their careers and lived for two years. Eventually, Jack moved back to Portland for a new opportunity, and they were unfortunately back to long distance for a few months. Soon after, Covid allowed Savannah to join Jack back in the Pacific Northwest. They moved in together in 2020 and brought home their pandemic puppy, Sadie, making a difficult year all worth it. They bought their first house in 2022 in Southwest Portland, and have loved the adventure of being home owners. Seven years later, Jack surprised Savannah by taking her to their favorite viewpoint on the coast, in Manzanita, OR, and asked her to be his wife. As they both grew up traveling to Manzanita with their families, it made a special place even more meaningful and one they’ll never forget after joining their lives together.
