We're getting Married

Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe to the right. But if you ask Lucy, she’ll tell you we met at the Spa Hotel in Lucan (sounds fancier, right?) Jack slid into Savannah’s DMs and asked her out on a date at Coppinger Row, the very place where he would later propose. Getting to that first date, however, was an adventure in itself. Frank was supposed to drop Savannah into town but got sidetracked, leading to a last-minute rescue mission by Lyn. A chaotic drive, roadworks at Harold’s Cross, and a very nervous Savannah vaping in the backseat (sorry Lyn I’ve since quit) meant she arrived fashionably late. Meanwhile, Lyn and Lucy casually strolled past the restaurant multiple times, hoping to catch a glimpse of the "nice Lucan boy." When Savannah finally walked through the door, she knew she’d hit the jackpot. Jack stood up all 6 feet 4 inches of him and greeted her with a kiss on the cheek, and pulled out her chair like a true gentleman. Over dinner, the conversation flowed, but due to COVID restrictions, their magical evening had to end early. Jack hopped in a taxi home, while Savannah, buzzing with excitement, dissected every detail of the date with Kathy's Husband Eric by the canal while they waited for Kathy to collect them The very next day, Jack sent a text: he had a lovely time and wanted to see her again. Their second date was a walk in the Avon in Blessington, accompanied by Golden Retriever Harley, and from there, everything just fell into place. Then the country went into lockdown, but love always finds a way. Jack had an "essential worker" letter allowing him to cross the police checkpoint at Brittas and spend time with Savannah. With nowhere to go and no distractions, they got to know each other. Those months were spent in the hut cooking, watching movies, and falling in love. Since then, their love story has taken them across three continents, into their first home, and into the world of parenthood with their beloved Cocker Spaniel, Sergio. Now, exactly 6 years from that fateful date in Coppinger, they will begin their next adventure together.
