It's finally happening!

We met at a church bonfire one Wednesday night. We wouldn't say it was love at first sight, but there was definitely interest at first sight! We talked pretty much the entire night before having to ride back to the church. After that night, we messaged on Facebook before finally exchanging phone numbers. From there it is all history!

For our first date, we went to Logan’s and a movie. Thor: The Dark World to be more specific. We didn’t plan out the times right, so we ended up killing some time at goodwill before our movie started. I think we had more fun goofing off at goodwill than we did watching our movie. Maybe we should do another thrift shop date Devin!

How it actually happened and how it was planned are two completely different stories! For now, we’ll just tell you how it actually happened. We were in Atlanta visiting my mom’s side of the family for the weekend. Looking back, I should have realized it was going to happen since everyone was telling me to put on something nice and to go get my nails done. However, to me we were just having a family dinner, so I did not look my best at all. At the end of dinner, Devin got up like he was going to excuse himself. We were kind of packed around the table, so I had to get up as well to let him out. At that point, he would not let me sit back down! He told me how much he loved me, etc.. (I’ll save the mushy stuff for our memories) Devin then asked me to marry him. He had jokingly asked me to marry him before that, so I just thought he was joking again until I saw the ring. Yes, tears were shed..
