We were classmates at Start High School, but didn't meet until senior year. We were put in the same English class with the same lunch period and, even after Savannah's class got changed, we still had a similar schedule. Months of eating lunch together eventually led to a wild week of watching movies together after school. That led to a prom date and so many other dates. We were so young, as you can tell by the bottom photo taken circa May 2012. The University of Toledo was a huge point in our lives and in our relationship. We spent a lot of time doing homework together and hours sitting with each other on campus between classes. While earning 3 degrees between us from UT, we also moved into our first apartment-- a one bedroom tiny thing. Both of us worked multiple jobs and continued through school together. Dan did yard work each weekend, worked as an engineer, finished up his Bachelor's, and kept his job from high school in a nursery. Savannah tutored in writing online and in person, taught composition classes at UT as part of the Master's degree, and hosted live bar trivia through Sporcle. To ease the stress, we decided to adopt 2 kittens that were born at the store Dan worked at-- Toledo natives may remember the Anderson's. Morty and Rudy became a major part of our lives in that one bedroom apartment and now, as you can probably tell if you follow either of us on any social media. Our lives completed changed in the summer of 2018 when we packed up and moved to Kalamazoo, MI for Savannah's PhD work at Western Michigan University. Savannah is working for a PhD in English while Dan got a job as an Application Engineer. More work and more school, we just can't get enough! It has been a long 8 years full of trials, changes, and, most importantly, a lot of fun and love. We are excited to finally get married, especially since so many people think we already are. The virus threat to the wedding was scary, but we are looking forward to seeing everyone on July 18th!
