We met at a Halloween party…a very particular Halloween party where all the guests except the two of us were already married, engaged, or coupled off. Little did we know, this was a special set up from Savannah’s friend, Delena. The next day we separately attended the UT vs. Ole Miss football game. One seat was in section A, the other was in Q. During the final quarter of the game, we swam through the thick sea of fans to met in the middle of Neyland and the rest is history.
On the third night of our first beach trip together, we went out to a special dinner at The Pearl. Set in the adorable, European-like streets of Rosemary Beach, FL, The Pearl is a classy, romantic hotel with a gorgeous restaurant steps from the beach. We had one of the best meals of our life accompanied by an impending heat stroke from the outdoor seating area. Afterwards we went up to the rooftop area for some post-dinner drinks only to be told they were closing down early. Ultimately, we decided to hop the fence and head down to the secluded beach (the perfect reenactment of our first date hopping a fence in Market Square). We walked along the beach with only a few bonfires for light as the moon was obstructed by cloud cover. I’ll be honest…I can’t remember what he said or even if I said yes (I think so), but it was even better than than I could have imagined
