The National Museum of the Pacific War is the boyhood home of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. Nimitz served as CinCPAC, commander in chief, United States Pacific Fleet, and was soon afterward named commander in chief, Pacific Ocean Areas, during World War II.
