It was May 1st 2018. I was sitting at work when my mom called me out of the blue. I answered and she said that two police officers, were on the line and wanted to speak with me. I didn’t know what was going on! They began telling me that there was a guy who they really wanted to set up with me. They proceeded to tell me he worked in IT and that he had red hair. I immediately said “he has red hair??” In my mind, redheaded guys in IT were nerds. They assured me that he was a handsome red head and proceeded to tell me that he had won a pull-up contest at work. They continued to tell me that he owned his own home, drove a truck, and had a dog! The conversation came to a conclusion and they asked, “well, do you mind if we give him your number?” To be nice, I said yes. Little did I know it would change my life forever!  Not even 5 minutes later, I get a text from that redheaded IT guy. We scheduled our first date for that Thursday, the 3rd, at Babalus in Memphis. That night, Cameron showed up to my door and my parents let him in. I could hear them exchanging words, so I came running down the stairs. My eyes blew up when I saw that handsome man in my home! A few weeks later, on May 22nd 2018, we were both sitting on the couch in his living room when Cameron turned to me and said, “I’ve been thinking, and well, I think I want you to be my girlfriend!” Of course I said yes, and I would end up saying yes again on December 21st 2020 when Cameron asked me to marry him. Both were the easiest questions I’ve ever had to answer.
