Brady and Savannah both found themselves in Fairbanks, Alaska during February 2024. Brady was working as the head strength coach for the U.S. Army at Fort Wainwright and Savannah took a spontaneous family trip to Alaska to see the northern lights. They both happened to download the online dating app Hinge on the same day and managed to match instantly. Within a week of matching, they both knew in their hearts that they had found their forever love. Although they matched in Alaska, they didn't meet in person until 3 weeks later when Brady visited Hawaii. Savannah and Brady shared their first 'I love you' while stargazing on a beach and officially began their long-distance dating relationship. Being 3,000 miles apart allowed them to build and find unique forms of intimacy including weekly couples devotionals, daily hours-long facetime calls, and planning their next visit. During their 14 month dating relationship, Savannah and Brady managed to visit each other once a month, take a cross-country road trip from Alaska to Louisiana, and partake in vacations with both the Stephens and the Hall families. As their love for traveling together grew, so did many other aspects of their relationship including, growing closer to God together, new career opportunities for Brady, and encouraging each other in their shared love of fitness. Brady and Savannah both knew early on that they would one day be husband and wife. In May of 2025, they took a cruise with the Hall family to Alaska... the place that brought them together a year ago. Before sailing, they spent the day in Seattle, Washington and explored the Space Needle. It was 600 ft. up above the city lights at sunset, that Brady got down on one knee and asked Savannah to be his wife. If you're reading this, it means she said yes! Surrounded by family and lots of love, they then embarked on a 10-day cruise through Alaska to celebrate their engagement and explore the place where it all began. Brady and Savannah have decided to hold two ceremonies for their marriage union. A private ceremony will take place on October 11th 2025 at Glacier National Park, Montana. Accompanied by their parents and siblings, Brady and Savannah will share their vows and enter their marriage covenant surrounded by God's beautiful creation. A second ceremony will take place on May 23rd 2026 at the Stephens residence in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Brady and Savannah will re-new their vows and spend time celebrating their marriage with the ones they love.
