Our dress code is Formal Garden Party Attire. We want our guests to dress to impress. Ladies, think pretty florals, pastels, and bright colors in long, midi, and tea-length cocktail and formal dresses or jumpsuits. Gentlemen, think suits or jackets and ties. We hope our guests will lean into our garden theme and celebrate the spring season with us. We do ask for ladies to refrain from wearing solid blue, green, or taupe dresses, and for guests to avoid ivory and casual-wear like jeans. Help us get the party started as scheduled! Guests should arrive approximately 15-30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Our ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, so we ask that guests arrive around 4pm. This will allow you to get comfortable and settled before the proceedings.
Yes, parking is very convenient (and free!) at our venue -- part of the reason we chose it for our guests! While our venue is at the Walkerton Tavern, the appropriate parking lot can be found by parking at the back left part of the parking lot at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. You will see the sidewalk and Arbor to the Tavern on your left. Their address is 2880 Mountain Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
The reception should end at 9:30pm. While there is no after-party, we look forward to celebrating all evening with you!
Both our ceremony and reception will be hosted outside at the Walkerton Tavern for a garden-like feel. While our plan is for the ceremony to be uncovered, our reception will be hosted under a tent on the property. A Social Hour will be hosted inside the Tavern before the reception begins.
